If there were a picture in the dictionary following the word "Entrepreneur" it would be that of this dynamic individual, Denise “Dee” Kerrigan Perfido. An expert at multi-task execution, Dee is the owner and operator of DeeAngelo's "Pleasant Avenue" Cafe at 149 Main Street - overlooking the Westhampton Beach Village Green. Over the years, she and her husband (and co-owner), Lenny Angelo, have entertained thousands of local diners, celebrities, and summer tourists alike, and yes, they serve the best meatballs…along with all sorts of delicious seasonal specialties.
As Owner and Principal Broker of Kerrigan Country Realty, also on Main Street in Westhampton Beach, Dee's attention to detail and personal input are evident in each transaction that takes place in her privately owned and operated real estate office. Her straightforward, honest and common-sense approach to selling real estate is practiced by each and every member of the Kerrigan Country Realty family. Complementing buying and selling homes, Dee is also co-owner and President of Hamptons Title Services, making sure all real estate transactions close quickly and smoothly.
When you ask Dee what her specialty is, she will tell you “Meatballs and Mansions.” It sounds a little kooky, but it sums up her day. First there are showings of multimillion dollar homes, then making sure the specials of the day are printed and the linens are ordered…back to real estate – has the photographer arrived, the contract been printed, the title survey complete, and the closing on schedule? Back to the restaurant – has the staff arrived, the liquor been ordered, need more dishes? Owning a real estate brokerage, a title company and a restaurant is not for the weak or wimpy. All require a strong work ethic, flexible schedule, the ability to self-promote and build relationships. You have to have a high level of tenacity to pull off Dee’s day.
A well-known member of the Greater Westhampton Beach community, Dee is involved in numerous charitable organizations and special events. Giving back to the community has always been number one on her list of priorities.
